I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine was a little bittersweet…It was in the mid-80s today so Brian and I actually went to the Santa Monica pier with our friends Hector and Shauna to enjoy the beautiful weather. Later we went out to a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner at Lawry’s with my future in-laws. I couldn’t have asked for a more lovely day but it was a little sad being away from my family for the first time.
I know it’s a little cheesy but every Thanksgiving I reflect on what I am thankful for. This year, I am thankful for my fiancé and his amazing family, my family, my new friends here in LA and old friends back east. I am also extremely thankful that I have been able to successfully expand and adapt my business to Los Angeles without giving in to the temptation of being sucked back into retail for the sake of easy and immediate money. It has changed from strictly graphic design to what I am referring cheekily to as my “multimedia empire”: graphic design, photography, and blogging! I feel so blessed.

Emily
