I always look forward to showering and going through my skin care routine before bed. I find it so refreshing and relaxing! I know a lot of gals have very complex skin care routines but I tend to keep mine on the simpler side. I’ve experimented with a plethora of different products for my combination and easily-clogged skin, and here are my ride-or-die products that I will keep rebuying. Honestly, I think the entire Pixi Glow line is worth trying but these guys are my absolute holy grails.
Full Nighttime Skin Care Routine
This cleanser is the bomb dot com. It has everything that I could possibly want in a cleanser–mud to deep clean my pores and glycolic acid to remove dead skin cells, promote healing, and even out my skin tone. I apply this stuff morning and night, either with my Clarisonic or just with my hands.
I’m a big fan of all kinds of face masks, but the Pixi Glow Mud Mask is my all time favorite. With this mask, you’re not going to get that tingle, burn, tightness, or dryness that other mud masks give you. It is so gentle and soothing, yet it my pores are sparkling clean and EMPTY after using it! Unfortunately, it is a little bit pricey for the size ($22 for 1 oz.) but you really only need a coin-sized amount for your whole face. Even though I use it about twice a week, the bottle lasts me a few months. I actually asked Petra the other day (you notice that not-so-subtle name drop there?!) why they don’t make a large tube, and she said that it’s extremely expensive to produce.
Pixi Glow Tonic & Glow Tonic To-Go
I didn’t start using a toner until pretty recently, since I wasn’t sure exactly what they did. Truth be told, some toners actually DON’T do anything, but the Pixi Glow Tonic definitely does. This stuff has a cult following, and for good reason! You can add a few drops of Glow Tonic onto a cotton round, or use the convenient pre-moistened Glow Tonic To-Go pads for the same effect. After cleansing, I apply to my face and neck. I immediately notice smaller pores, and–for lack of a better word–a glowing complexion! Even though I’ve already cleansed, I always see a bit of junk come off on the pad which is thanks to the glycolic acid exfoliation.
Tru Self Organics Herbal Infused Moisturizer
This moisturizer is very lightweight and soothing. It is not super hydrating, but it’s amazing if you have combo/oily/acne-prone skin and just need a little touch of moisture. I love how it helps to prevent over-production of oil and clogged pores!
Here & Now Botanicals Night Owl Eye Serum
It’s impossible for me to ever forget to apply this serum because my skin literally CRAVES it. I have tried so many eye creams, but this eye serum is by far the most moisturizing that I have ever tried. Nothing else comes close! It applies with a little roller ball and then you dab it in with your finger. I use it in the morning too and it works beautifully beneath makeup.
