When I first heard about the Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer, I was immediately intrigued. Tatcha touts this $52 primer as a ground-breaking product that will not only make makeup last longer and look better, but it will keep it out of your pores to prevent breakouts and signs of aging. Today I am putting it to the test and and seeing if it holds up to its claims. Stay tuned if you are interested in finding out if it is worth the money, and how it compares to NYX Angel Veil Primer after 9 hours of wear!

The balm application seems counter to the concept of primer. I want primer to be fluid and act like spackle to fill in imperfections. I’m more likely to try the nyx version after your review.

Once the Tatcha primer was emulsified by the warmth of my skin, it did give that spackle effect. But it just didn’t do much for me beyond that :/ I think you’ll like the NYX primer!
