Hi loves!
This absolutely STUNNING kaftan dress is by Ripley Rader. It reminds me a little of a kimono so I felt a bit like an anime princess wearing it with my pink hair. I love her designs so much! I can’t wait to share more of them with you soon.

The other day I was talking to a new client who is located near where I am from. Talking to her was refreshing because she was so completely blunt and didn’t sugarcoat anything she said. She was teasing me good-naturedly because she wanted me to be super straightforward with her as well, but I was actually a bit out of practice after living in Hollywood for a year now. This got me thinking about how different people in New Jersey are from those in LA. So I’ve compiled a little list of differences that stand out to me the most!
1. Like I already mentioned, people in Jersey are BLUNT. What you see is what you get. I find it annoying how in LA, everyone beats around the bush and treads super carefully in conversation because it seems like it is so easy to hurt peoples’ feelings. Good luck trying to get anyone’s honest opinion anything!
2. People in LA are more attractive and fashionable. Sorry Jersey, but the stereotype really is true. Los Angeleans get dressed up here to do just about everything, and the place is practically oozing with (aspiring) models/actors. People are certainly not as fashion-forward and chic as New Yorkers, but they put a lot of effort into their appearance which I actually do appreciate.
3. LA drivers suck. Yes NJ drivers are more aggressive, but we actually know what the hell we are doing behind the wheel. Los Angeles drivers block intersections, coast casually through red lights, and rarely use turn signals. Plus I still think it sounds stupid that highways are called THE 405 and THE 101. So pretentious!
4. Los Angeleans are healthier and in better shape. Healthy restaurants and fitness studios are EVERYWHERE. There is significantly less obesity and smoking than in the tristate area.
5. Media accurately depicts LA and inaccurately depicts New Jersey. For some reason TV always shows NJ residents as Italians with that ridiculous North Jersey accent (Jersey Shore, Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jerseylicous). That is only a small portion of the state. Most of it is forest and farmland with no accent or a Philly/South Jersey accent. On the other hand, what the media shows of LA is pretty on point. Palm trees, sunny skies, fancy cars, blonde extensions, and lip fillers everywhere.
