I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. I absolutely love running my own business. For a long time I have been doing graphic design, invitations, and stationery, but in the last 6 months I have experimented with several new directions: photography, modeling, and blogging. It has been a lot of fun but I need to refocus and really decide what direction(s) I want to pour my energy and passion into.
Before I moved to Los Angeles, I pretty much had it made doing stationery and invitations. I was making bank. Sadly, it seems like the market for that here is either more saturated or is just harder to break into. Upon realizing that, I began to experiment with photography. With all the models, bloggers, and actors here, there is quite a lot of photography work to be had.
Due to my frustration and confusion, I actually interviewed for a regular old 9-6 graphic design office job today. (Side note: when did 9-5 become 9-6?!) Who knows if I’ll get offered the position, but I don’t even think I would want regardless. I really am not sure what direction I want to go right now, but being an office drone is not it.
Anyway, about my outfit…Winter in LA is fun because you can wear a cozy sweater like this one while also showing leg in a cute mini skirt. I’m also in love with these sandals by Vince Camuto. They are so unbelievably comfy! The gold watch necklace is really special. It is a family heirloom and was given to me by Brian’s grandma.
