Hi guys! How do you like my new pink hair? I love love love it! I had it done by Andrew at Sally Hershberger and I seriously could not possibly recommend him more highly. He is an absolute sweetheart and beyond talented.
Sooooo a couple of days ago I made a little splurge at Sephora on some awesome new makeup. Here is what I got and what I think about it:
1. Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Foundation in Alabaster ($43)
This foundation was just released. It is very moisturizing and has build able, medium coverage. I love the consistency, but the main selling factor for me was how pale the color Alabaster is. I am SO fair that it is pretty much impossible to find a foundation that is as light as me, but this stuff does the trick! This is absolutely a new holy grail product for me.
2. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly ($29)
I have been using NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for a while, but the employees at Sephora kept telling me that I was Vanilla (the second lightest color) and I believed them. I knew I didn’t like something about the concealer, but I thought it was the formula so I started searching for another brand. Then during my most recent Sephora trip, a makeup artist explained to me that I should actually be using Chantilly (the lightest shade) instead of Vanilla. Lo and behold, Chantilly is a perfect match! I’ve learned a valuable lesson: don’t always trust Sephora employees to color match you properly, and always try to go to a Sephora with lots of natural lighting! Mall lighting is no bueno for makeup.
3. Boscia Luminizing Black Mask ($34)
I love this stuff. It is a peel-off, rich black clay mask. I’ve tried so many peel-off masks but this one delivers super noticeable results in just one use. When you peel it away, clogged pores and black heads are gone and enlarged pores are refined. It is so satisfying! I don’t find it particularly drying either as long as I follow it with a good moisturizer.
4. Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo ($30)
I’m obsessed with a good highlighter. I told my makeup artist this when I was having my wedding makeup trial, and so she introduced me to what is my absolute PERFECT highlighter. It is so velvety and shimmery and when I apply it, it seriously looks like I am glowing from within! Absolutely holy grail, just like that MUFE foundation.
xoxo
