My dress is from Anthropologie. It was a bit of a splurge for me, but I was so obsessed with the colors that I just had to treat myself. I love how it looks with my hair! Now, on to my hair product reviews….
I have been guilty of spending a TON of money on my hair in the past. It’s really easy to fall into a pattern of buying super pricey hair products that lure us in with their fancy packaging and promises of flawless, healthy locks. I mean, you’ve inevitably tried Herbal Essence or Pantene and then experienced that dreadful hair day afterwards. After that, you probably conclude that you need to use something more high end in order to get the results you desire. Well I have discovered a few “holy grail” products that have drug store prices but Sephora results! The following four products are all under $10 but pack a powerful punch.
1. John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Spray – $8.99
This texturizing spray is a God-send. I was completely obsessed with it when I was in high school and was completely devastated when they discontinued it. I could not believe when I saw that they re-released it just a couple of months ago! I bought it the other day and it is just as amazing as I remembered. When sprayed on damp hair, it enhances natural texture in your hair and creates a perfectly beachy, piecey look. Best of all, it smells like coconut!!! Until I rediscovered this spray, I had been using other texturizing sprays that cost three times more but did not work as well.
2. Creme of Nature Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo – $6.49
I co-wash my hair daily (not familiar with co-washing? Learn about it here) and shampoo every two weeks or so. When I started bleaching my hair, it would absolutely freak out and turn into a Brillo pad when shampoo touched it, even after two weeks. Luckily my friend Jess is a hair genius and introduced me to Creme of Nature. It is truly incredible. It is so moisturizing that it feels like you are using a conditioner, yet it leaves your hair squeaky clean! My $70 Ojon shampoo cannot compare.
3. Tresemme Tres Two Spray Extra Hold – $2.99
This is the perfect hairspray. Alicia Wheeler, my wedding hair and makeup artist, turned me on to this spray and I’m never looking back! She told me that every hair stylist she knows uses it. It has amazing holding power, yet your hair does not feel stiff and sticky. Plus it smells awesome.
4. Generic Value Products Conditioning Balm – $6.59
Until recently I used Biolage Conditioning Balm every day. This product is an EXACT dupe of it, but for less than a quarter of the price! It is so insanely moisturizing and even has the same luxurious smell. If you have damaged hair, this stuff is a must-have!
Are you going to treat yourself to any of these beauty steals? If you do, be sure to let me know what you think!

great hair product review! I use drug store products too because I cant justify spending a lot on my hair, but I am lucky with my hair being cooperative most of the time! I really want to try the sea waves spray and the hairspray! i have tried that hairspray before and its great ! I also started using the suave extreme hold hair spray and it holds curls in my hair for a while!
lovely dress, you look so pretty! xo
