Happy Thursday everyone! We made it past hump day so now the weekend is in sight!
Last weekend I had so much fun celebrating the Oscars with my BBFF (best blogger friend forever) Sami from Style Me Samira. We got all glammed up and attended a combination fashion show and Oscar party hosted by Metropolitan Fashion Week. I wore my ivory-colored DVF Zarita dress which is one of my very favorite dresses that I own. One of the designers who was showcasing his gowns at the event actually asked me if I would be interested in modeling gowns for the rest of the evening, and of course I said yes! I joined the professional models while they finished getting their hair and makeup done. I was given an incredible braided hairstyle and they put me in a gorgeous black strapless dress with beaded detailing and pockets. I thought they only needed me to model for photos but I ended up being asked to walk in the runway show as well. The dress was so long and voluminous that I kept stepping on the hem (though thankfully not while on the runway)! Then I changed into a second black gown and walked in that one as well. This dress was made of silk and and had a fit and flare silhouette. I was a big fan of that one!
Only in LA can you walk into a party as a guest and leave as a runway model. I had such a great time!
What do you think of the dresses that I wore?
