This week was pretty insane! It was my second week working at my new part time packaging design job, which is equal parts stressful and awesome. It is stressful because the work itself is very difficult, but it’s awesome because it is out of my boss’ home office in her stunning home in the Hollywood Hills. Her precious kids are homeschooled and run in and out of our office all day, and her 8-year-old son is my new BFF. Another ridiculous perk is that the house is shared by the lead singer of one of my 3 favorite bands, so getting to be around him is unreal (I enjoyed a mini private concert while he sang along with his stereo while showering the other day)!
We also had a very scary event with the dogs this week. These outfit photos were taken while Brian and I were out picking up his dream suit that her purchased from Dior for our wedding. When we got home from this exciting outing, we found that Wendell and Penelope had snuck into a partially unzipped suitcase on the floor and gotten out our medicine bag. They consumed an entire bottle of extra strength Tums, a tube of skin steroid, and a bottle of Tylenol with Codeine and caffeine. It was unclear whether the latter had been eaten or just chewed up and destroyed, but at their size, consuming even two could be fatal. Though they were both acting completely normally, we rushed them to the ER (I swear we need a frequent customer card there). They were admitted for 24 hours so that the vet could monitor them and run a plethora of tests. They ended up being perfectly fine. Thank God we just got pet insurance less than a month ago, because without it, this would have cost us close to $4,000! We still have to pay a good bit, but the insurance saved us thousands.
What an eventful week! I’m so ready for a relaxing weekend.

So glad the puppies are okay! Thank goodness for pet insurance! We haven’t had to use ours yet thankfully, but it’s a big weight off my mind knowing that we have it there. Also, congrats on the new job! Sounds super fun! 😀
