My Bridal Shower

Hi friends! Last Saturday I had my bridal shower.  I’m sorry that I’m just finally getting around to posting about it, but wedding preparation is crazy business! The shower was a lovely lunch held at The Landing in Westlake Village.  We ate outside right alongside the lake and it was so beautiful.  One of my mother in law’s friends made a darling wedding dress-shaped cupcake arrangement and another friend set up a super cute game of bridal bingo.  I have never had a party like this thrown in my honor before and I feel incredibly blessed and thankful.

After lunch, my gal pals Sami (from Style Me Samira) and Jen (from Jennifer Garrett Photo) went on a little post-shower shooting adventure.  I absolutely love how these photos came out, especially with the balloons that Jen brought along! Yes I have totally blogged this Anthropologie dress before, but in this shoot I styled it with my Louis Vuitton Vernis Alma in Amarante, a funky statement necklace from Rocksbox (use code emilyxoxo5 for a month free!), and amazing blue heels from Forever21 that I borrowed from Sami.  She was wearing the exact same pair in nude so naturally we had to take a cute pic of our feet!

Yesterday Brian and I picked up our marriage license and I set up my name change for my middle and last names.  One week and 2 days until I am Mrs. Emily Kane Mendelson 🙂
