Winter is hitting LA in full force! Well, maybe not by most of the country’s standards, but Los Angeleans are experiencing a mixture of excitement and annoyance about actually needing to wear coats and sweaters. I am definitely a fan of much warmer temperatures, but I do enjoy having a chance to cozy up in one of my favorite cool-weather trends: oversized sweaters. This style may not be for everyone as it certainly does add some bulk to your frame, but I find that the trick to pulling off this look is by balancing out the chunky top with skinny jeans or a mini skirt. This prevents you from looking sloppy and still shows just a bit of your figure.
I’m wearing this vintage men’s Lacoste sweater with a little collared top underneath, my go-to J Brand skinnies, and my favorite Frye booties. I absolutely LOVE vintage Lacoste sweaters. I’ve had such a thing for them ever since I was in high school. And how cute are Wendell and Penelope in these photos? They both look like tiny stuffed animals!

I love oversized sweaters too! They’re soo cozy but you’re right- you gotta balance them out so you don’t look fat and frumpy haha. I love pairing mine with leather leggings and a bootie 🙂 Wendell and Penelope look so cute here! They’re the perfect accessory!
